Central Coast Wedding Professionals First Annual Wine Down

Our hottest industry event for new members

An evening of real connection, quiet detail, and the people who shape the Central Coast wedding industry. The First Annual Wine Down wasn’t designed to impress. It was designed to connect.

Set at The Penny SLO, the evening brought together a curated mix of event professionals for something the inbox can’t replicate—conversations without agendas, new relationships that didn’t require introductions, and a reminder of what it feels like to be in the room with people who actually get it.

There was no stage. No panel. No welcome speech. Just good wine, exceptional service, and time to move slowly through a room full of familiar faces and future collaborators.

THE DETAILS THAT MADE THE DIFFERENCE

The details are never just details. They shape the atmosphere, set the pace, and quietly signal who the event was designed for. From intentional signage to glassware that photographs well from every angle, the difference is always in the decisions made before anyone walks through the door.

THE WINE SIGN

Created by Salvador Mendez, the custom-built wine sign was more than a photo op. It was a design statement. Simple, sculptural, and intentionally placed—it quietly anchored the space and became one of the most-shared moments of the night.

THE BAR

Daring to Dream Events brought more than mixology. With Brian behind the bar, the experience became personal. Guests lingered, caught up between perfect pours, and found themselves in conversations that didn’t feel transactional. Brian truly has a way with connecting with guests in the most authentic way!

THE GRAZING TABLE

L2 Events understood the assignment. Their approach to hors d’oeuvres was thoughtful and effortless—enough to keep the room nourished without pulling attention from the flow. It was the kind of service you notice most when it’s done exactly right. Plus, we love a good grazing moment!

THE POUR LIST

Featuring wines from three Central Coast standouts:

Chamisal Vineyards , Kynsi Winery and Brochelle Vineyards. Each brought a different perspective, which made the tasting experience feel layered and true to place. They shared upcoming events and their spaces in weddings.

WHY IT MATTERED

The First Annual Wine Down wasn’t a launch. It wasn’t a campaign. It was a moment—built for those who keep the wheels turning behind the scenes, who bring taste and care to every event they touch, and who don’t always take the time to stop and be seen. There were no big announcements. But if you know, you know. And if you missed it, you’ll want to make sure that doesn’t happen again.
