ANNOUNCEMENTS BY ADRIENNE
The First Impression Happens Before the Wedding Day
Before guests step foot in your venue, before they see the flowers or the dress or the tablescape, they hold your invitation in their hands. That moment — that first glimpse of the wedding — is exactly what Adrienne Petersen designs for.
Adrienne is the owner of Announcements by Adrienne, a San Luis Obispo-based wedding stationery studio working with couples across the Central Coast and around the world. Her style is romantic, elegant, and soft. Her process is intentional, seamless, and — if her clients are to be believed — genuinely fun.
Built from Scratch, With a Baby on Her Hip
Adrienne launched her business in late 2023, when her daughter was just 18 months old. New motherhood was demanding, and she wanted something that was fully her own.
She'd always loved graphic design and had a natural eye for beautiful paper. So she built a website, started designing invitations, took every class she could find, and celebrated hard the day her first client came through.
It's a career pivot that makes more sense the more you know her. Before stationery, Adrienne earned a degree in Environmental and Occupational Health and worked as an Industrial Hygienist — a profession built entirely on precision, process, and attention to detail. Turns out those skills translate beautifully to fine paper goods.
What She Actually Does
Adrienne handles everything paper: save the dates, invitations, menus, programs, signage, and any printed element that appears on a wedding day. Her work is most meaningful to couples — and their planners — who want a cohesive, intentional look across every detail.
"The wedding invitations are the very first glimpse guests will have of the wedding day," she says. "It's an opportunity to wow them, set the tone for the celebration, and build anticipation for what's to come….I have found so much joy and purpose in my business…I truly love working with brides on their wedding stationery."
For couples planning a romantic, elegant wedding on the Central Coast or beyond, that kind of intentionality is exactly what they're looking for in a stationery vendor
A Vendor Who Lives in the Details
Adrienne may not be on-site on wedding day, but she's watching. She loves seeing other vendors post and tag her when the full wedding comes together — when the stationery she designed shows up in flat lays, on tables, and in recap posts from photographers and planners across the Central Coast.
"It is so fun to see how everything came together and the excitement from the other vendors," she says.
For Central Coast wedding vendors and planners looking for a stationery partner who makes collaboration easy and brings a clear aesthetic vision, Adrienne is a natural fit.
What Clients Say
Adrienne's clients consistently describe working with her as enjoyable and stress-free. Her process is clear, her communication is easy, and her goal — stated plainly — is for her clients' invitations to be the best their guests have ever received.
She's been told, more than once, that they are.
Her work has been published in California Wedding Day, Carats & Cake, Loverly, and Style Me Pretty — a strong list for a studio that's only been open two and a half years.
