Feature Wedding: Kali & John

Kali & John

July, 2011

Kali and John got married on a beautiful summer day on the Central Coast!  Their wedding looks like a rockin' good time full of bright colors and happy people!  Seriously, how gorgeous is that tent?! We're so glad they turned to the CCWP for their vendors! Enjoy!

Flowers to You By Jessica I cannot say enough about Jessica and her company.  She brings you into her home for the consult where she runs everything and not to mention a wedding venue of her own (which was SO breath taking) Jessica and her services made our dream wedding come true.  She is energetic, warm, creative and so talented.  I was a low key bride and she helped me make a lot of great decisions when I did not know where to start.  The flowers and the candy bar were all anyone could talk about after.  She is worth every penny and more.

The Cliffs Resort The Cliffs Resort was the perfect venue for my husband and me.  Anna and her department do a fantastic job making sure every detail is perfectly planned and executed.  The tent turned out perfectly and Anna went above and beyond to meet our every need.  I remember seeing her the day of the wedding in the morning and at the end of the night (1am) she was checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed.  Incredible!

Kramer Entertainment Kramer did a great job and kept our guests having a great time while planning out our timeline and making it all happen the way we pictured.  The lighting really made a difference in our tent I would recommend it.

Bridal Makeup and Hair All of my girls looked AMAZING.  The airbrush was flawless and did not wear off.  I also liked that she was able to give each girl long lasting lips so everything looked beautiful and fresh throughout the night.  It was great to have the convenience of having Rhonda and her associate come to us.

The Cakery The cake was beautiful and delicious.  They worked with Jessica and were able to add the flowers for a unique and bright touch.

A Blake PhotographyWhen I was choosing my photographer I let them know that the most important part of the wedding for me is being able to re live it through pictures.  Ashley and Kayla lived up to my every expectation.  My pictures are breath taking.  The girls were fun and made us feel comfortable being ourselves while capturing every important detail.  Also Incredible!

Happily Ever After!

Member Spotlight: Bridal Hair & Makeup.com

Hey all! We'd like you to get to know one of our fabulous members: Rhonda Johnson with Bridal Makeup and Hair.com! She's a super cool sista who is amazingly talented!!! We love having her as part of our CCWP family!

1. How long have you been in business?
I have been doing hair and makeup professionally for over 20 years. Bridalmakeupandhair.com was conceived in 2005 when I moved to the Central Coast.
2. How long have you been a CCWP member? What made you want to join?
I joined the CCWP almost 5 years ago. I stumbled on the CCWP web site by accident. After attending a meeting I was very happy with what I saw. Lots of really professional people being positive and supportive to one another.
3. What services do you provide?
I do on location makeup and hair styling for the bride and the bridal party.
4. What is your beauty philosophy that you approach your work with?
My goal is to make the bride the most beautiful version of herself. I am not into making someone look like someone the groom and the guests don’t recognize. Also, because of my background, I put extra focus on the photography aspect, how the makeup and hair I do will look photographically.
5. Your top three beauty tips:
#1 be careful with metallic and mineral products with your wedding day makeup.
#2 don’t make your hair to tight or flat. Think of the big picture, you don’t want to look like a bell in the full-length photos.
#3 remember you're wearing a big white dress, it can wash you out especially in the sunlight, so keep your cheeks bright.
6. Your favorite moment/part of the wedding day?
My favorite part of the day is when the bride gets dressed. That’s when the whole look comes together. Sometimes the brides get dressed at a separate location, that bums me out when I don’t get to see the complete look.
7. What should your potential future brides know about  you?
Getting someone ready for their wedding day is not just another booking for me. I truly get it and care that it’s their big day and I want it to be perfect for them.
8.   Any advice that your clients should know to make your job easier/their wedding day run smoother?
Yes, have the ladies in your party be on time. Also no wet heads. Try to have someone else there to answer final question. It’s really hard when you have to keep stopping the bride to ask questions.

Thanks for chatting with us Rhonda!!! Now, I invite you all to witness some of her handiwork:
